Tom Kenney, Owner of Napa Flats and Napa Flats Bistro in College Station, Texas, was asked to guest host The Three TV Show on KBTX-TV3 and online at Zeam.  The popular show hosted by Conner Beene features interesting people, news, and events from across the Brazos Valley and the world.

The week culminated with the new year kick off show on Friday, January 2nd, where Tom was joined by Napa Flats Co-Owner and Director of Operations, Tony Abdalla, and Mark McNatt, Manager/Bar Manager of Napa Flats Bistro.

Tom made a great co-host, adding his signature humor and observations about people, life, and the restaurant business.  Stories ranged from the prequisite first baby of the year segment, to Tom explaining the origin of the Napa Flats pig mascot after the show featured a segment on pigs eating a gingerbread house.

Up next, Napa Flats Bistro Bar Manager, Mark McNatt, kicked off dry January by showcasing four of Napa Bistro’s featured mocktail drinks. The drinks used some exciting new options, including Ritual Zero Proof Gin Alternative, which tastes just like gin but with no alcohol, to make the Lavender Breeze mocktail.  Mark crafted the Lavender Breeze mocktail by using an ounce of lavender syrup, an ounce of fresh squeezed lemon juice, and two ounces of Ritual Gin Alternative, and shook well.  Conner Breene, the show's host, loved it and commented it tasted just like gin.

Also, Mark featured Napa’s non alcoholic whiskey, Spiritless Kentucky 74Ritual Zero Proof Rum Alternative, and Mionetto, a non alcoholic prosecco that was perfect to kick off the new year in style.

Napa Flats and Napa Bistro continue to lead the growing non-alcoholic trend by offering a full mocktail menu and regularly introducing new mocktails. Tom emphasized the growing popularity was rooted in socializing and having non-alcoholic options, allowing everybody to have a nice evening out with friends without feeling left out. Mark shared that some of Napa’s more popular options include the Old Fashion reimagined as the ‘Zero Fashion’ and the ‘Business Casual’, a twist on the popular Whiskey Casual.

Tony Abdalla, Napa Flats’ Director of Operations, helped wrap up the show. Tony joined Tom to talk about Napa’s popular Palo Alto Dip, named after the California city.  A signature appetizer and best seller at both Napa Flats and Napa Flats Bistro.

Tony also featured the Lemon Tart available at Napa Flats Bistro.  A delectable and popular

dessert with a light pastry shell made fresh daily, which offers a great alternative to chocolate.  Tom pointed out,  “Desserts finish off a meal and are social. If you have a dessert, it is a shared experience and the last thing you remember about a meal.”

After the show break, Tom and Tony brought out their Ahi and Avocado Tartare, one of the newest dishes at Napa Flats Bistro.  So beautifully prepared, Conner Breene, the show’s host, commented on the craftsmanship of the presentation.

Homemade tiramisu was up next, the name means ‘pick me up’ or ‘cheer me up’. A popular Italian dessert made of Arabica bean Kahlua soaked angel fingers, fresh whipped eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, and dusted with cocoa powder.  All the chocolate flavor, without being all chocolate.  One of the top desserts at both restaurants, it is made by Napa Flats in house pastry chef.

Conner Beene praised Tom for “always supporting local restaurants”, and for what Tom does for restaurants and small businesses across the country, in both his current role with the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business) and as past President of the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA).
